My
anti-drug is playing video games. Many
people do drugs because they are stressed and need to escape from reality for a
while. Well, I can do the same
thing in a video game without actually doing any damage to others or myself. It’s a safe way to unwind and
relax. In a game I can do whatever
I want without any repercussions, it creates a nice little world where
everything is okay. Of course, I
eventually have to come back to reality and get work done, but I always look
forward to being able to get to the next level of a game. Moreover, they’re not as bad as people
make them seem. Video games have
been proven to increase hand-eye coordination and reduce people’s stress
levels; and, if you’re like me and you like to play puzzle games, you exorcise
your spatial reasoning skills at the same time. Video games are a fun, safe way to escape for a while and let
go of any worries I have.
